National Lacemaking Day - 14th September ...

We are having an open morning with 'Have A Go' pillows, 10.30 - 12.30

Please join us for the morning.

Also at the meeting there will be a bring and buy table and in the afternoon our members will be treated to a lovely Cream Tea. A treat that we started as we reopened from Covid but now seems to be happily embedded in our yearly calendar. As well as the usual chatter, raffle, and oh, of course, a little lacemaking.

Looking forward to seeing you on the 14th September 2024

 Happy New Year to everyone...

...and I hope that you had a healthy enjoyable Christmas.

We had a really interesting talk on knitting with wire in our November meeting and we were all given the chance to 'have ago' ourselves. I found it quite tricky but Sue Burns, who gave us the talk had developed some interesting ideas.

We had a lovely display of Christmassy crafts made by our members and ...

we finished off our day with a delicious slice of our 35th birthday cake, made by Cathy Smith. She had even made a lace Martlets Bird to sit on the top. Beautiful. Thank you Cathy.

It's now nearly the end of August and thoughts are turning to our September Meeting and our new event 'Afternoon Cream Tea'. This replacing the New Year Banquet that we missed in January due to Covid.

I wonder what will be on the project table next meeting or has everyone been to hot to make lace...here are a few pieces that were on display last meeting

Looking forward to seeing everyone on the 10th September 2022 with your orders for the birthday bobbin which will be handed out in our November meeting.
